Steroids & Anabolics in Thailand
What steroids do Muay Thai fighters in Thailand take

What Steroids Do Muay Thai Fighters in Thailand Take?

Muay Thai fighters usually want something very different from a bodybuilder.

A bodybuilder might be happy to add 8–10kg and chase as much size as possible. A fighter normally isn’t. Extra bodyweight can mean a harder weight cut, slower movement, and more weight to carry through roadwork, pad rounds, sparring and clinching.

So when people ask us, “What steroids do Muay Thai fighters in Thailand take?”, the answer is usually not the same list you’d give someone trying to bulk.

There also isn’t some official list showing what Thai fighters actually use. Some use PEDs, some don’t, and most of it is private. What we can talk about is which steroids make the most sense for someone who wants to stay lean, get stronger and avoid putting on a lot of unnecessary mass.

That is exactly why we rebuilt our Muay Thai Fighter Stack around Sustanon, Masteron Propionate and Anavar.

What Does a Muay Thai Fighter Want From a Steroid Cycle?

Usually not maximum size.

For most fighters, the priorities are more like:

  • Get stronger without blowing up in bodyweight.
  • Hold muscle while doing a lot of cardio and hard training.
  • Stay lean.
  • Avoid too much water weight.
  • Keep the cycle simple.

That immediately rules out some of the classic bodybuilding choices.

Dianabol and Anadrol can be great for putting on size, but that’s usually not what a Muay Thai fighter wants. DECA is also more of a mass-building compound. Tren can make you look great, but it is not the first thing I would choose for somebody doing hard conditioning several times a week.

Testosterone

Testosterone is the base of a lot of steroid cycles, and that still makes sense for a fighter.

The difference is the amount.

You don’t need to run a big bodybuilding dose just because you’re using testosterone. For a fighter, I would rather keep testosterone moderate and let the rest of the stack do the work.

Some common options are:

For our current fighter stack, we went with Sustanon 250.

Why Sustanon? It gives the cycle a testosterone base without turning it into a heavy bulking cycle. We keep the weekly amount moderate and combine it with compounds that are better suited to staying lean.

Anavar

Anavar is probably one of the first steroids people think about when the goal is strength without a lot of extra bodyweight.

That is why it makes sense in a fighter-style cycle.

It is commonly used during cutting cycles because it tends to be a much better fit for people who want to stay lean and strong instead of chasing maximum mass.

That doesn’t mean Anavar is harmless. It’s still an oral anabolic steroid. It can affect cholesterol, liver enzymes and natural testosterone production. But if the question is whether Anavar fits a Muay Thai-style cycle better than something like Dianabol, the answer is pretty easy: yes.

Masteron Propionate

Masteron Propionate is another compound that makes much more sense here than it does in a traditional bulk.

It is mainly used in cutting cycles and by people trying to get a harder, leaner look.

We use the Propionate version in the fighter stack because it is the short-ester version and works better with this type of cycle.

And just to be clear: we are talking about Masteron Propionate, not Masteron Enanthate.

Our Current Muay Thai Fighter Stack

After looking at what we currently have in stock and what actually makes sense for the goal, we rebuilt the old Muay Thai stack completely.

The new package is:

  • 2 × Sustanon 250
  • 3 × Masteron Propionate
  • 2 × Anavar 100

It is a 12-week cycle.

Sustanon runs as the testosterone base. Masteron Propionate comes in later, and Anavar is used for the final part of the cycle.

We kept it to three compounds on purpose. There is no reason to throw five or six drugs into a fighter stack just to make the package look more impressive.

The goal is lean strength, staying relatively light, and keeping the cycle practical.

What About Winstrol?

Winstrol is definitely one of the steroids people associate with fighters, sprinters and cutting cycles.

And yes, it can work well for getting harder and leaner.

But I don’t think every Muay Thai stack needs Winstrol just because it has that reputation.

Winstrol can be rough on cholesterol, and some people don’t feel great doing a lot of hard training while using it. For a bodybuilding cutting cycle, that may be an acceptable trade-off. For someone running, kicking, sparring and clinching all week, I prefer Anavar in the basic fighter stack.

That doesn’t mean Winstrol is “bad.” It just isn’t necessary here.

What About Trenbolone?

Tren A is one of the strongest cutting steroids there is.

But strong doesn’t automatically mean better.

A lot of people who use Tren complain that cardio gets harder. Sleep can also be worse, and night sweats are common.

If you’re a bodybuilder trying to get as hard and dry as possible for a show, Tren can make a lot of sense.

If you’re doing Muay Thai and need to survive hard rounds on the pads and in sparring, I don’t think Tren should be the default choice.

That’s why it isn’t in our fighter stack.

What About Dianabol or Anadrol?

These are bulking steroids.

Dianabol and Anadrol are great if the goal is to get bigger and stronger quickly. But they can also bring a lot more bodyweight and water retention.

For someone trying to stay in a weight class, that can become a problem fast.

They make much more sense in our bulking stacks than in a Muay Thai stack.

What About DECA or NPP?

DECA and NPP are both nandrolone.

They are popular because people like the combination of muscle gain and the way they often feel on the joints.

We actually used NPP in the old Muay Thai stack.

But NPP is currently unavailable, and DECA is more of a long-acting mass-building drug than I want in this package.

Even if NPP comes back, I still think the new Sustanon + Masteron P + Anavar setup is cleaner for what this product is supposed to do.

Is Clenbuterol a Steroid?

No.

Clenbuterol gets mentioned in the same conversations because people use it when cutting, but it is not an anabolic steroid.

It is a stimulant-like beta-2 agonist.

I also wouldn’t automatically add Clen to a Muay Thai stack. Fighters already do a lot of cardiovascular work, and piling stimulants on top isn’t something that needs to be built into the basic package.

Do Professional Muay Thai Fighters in Thailand Use Steroids?

More than you would expect…especially in Thailand and other parts of Asia.

But nobody has good numbers for this, so I’m not going to pretend that “most Thai fighters use Anavar” or anything like that.

There are hundreds of Muay Thai gyms in Thailand, different promotions, different levels of testing and fighters from all over the world. Many of these gyms…even the well known ones, are providing steroids to their fighters.

What About Drug Testing?

This part matters.

Testosterone, Masteron and Anavar are all banned under WADA rules.

So if you fight in an organisation that follows WADA or similar anti-doping rules, this is not a competition-safe stack.

Do not assume that because you are training or fighting in Thailand there are no rules. Testing depends on the promotion and event.

Steroids Won’t Make You Good at Muay Thai

This should be obvious, but it is worth saying.

You can be strong, lean and muscular and still get completely outclassed by somebody with better timing, better defence and 500 more rounds of sparring.

Muay Thai is a skill sport.

Strength helps. Conditioning helps. Being lean and powerful helps.

But none of that replaces years of kicking pads, clinching, sparring and actually learning how to fight.

So, What Steroids Make the Most Sense for Muay Thai?

If the goal is to stay relatively lean, get stronger and avoid turning the cycle into a bodybuilding bulk, my shortlist would be:

  • Testosterone as a base
  • Anavar for lean strength
  • Masteron Propionate for a harder cutting-style cycle
  • Winstrol as another possible cutting option, although I don’t think it needs to be in every fighter cycle

I would be much less interested in building a standard fighter stack around Dianabol, Anadrol, DECA or Tren.

For the package we actually sell, we went with the combination I think makes the most sense:

Sustanon + Masteron Propionate + Anavar.
