Important interaction
Do Not Combine Cialis With Nitrates
Tadalafil must not be combined with nitrate medications. This includes medicines containing nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate or isosorbide mononitrate, as well as nitrate/nitrite recreational drugs commonly called “poppers.” The combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.[1]
The official prescribing information also lists the guanylate-cyclase stimulator riociguat as contraindicated with tadalafil and advises caution with alpha-blockers, blood-pressure medications and substantial alcohol consumption.[1]
