Why Dianabol Is Used for Bulking
Dianabol is primarily associated with bulking rather than cutting. A peer-reviewed review of real-world anabolic-steroid use classifies Methandrostenolone / Methandienone (Dianabol) as an oral bulking compound and reports 15–50mg per day among commonly used non-medical regimens.[2]
A controlled human study of methandienone during weight training found increases in bodyweight and lean-body measurements during the drug phase, although strength improvements were not significantly greater than placebo. The study also found suppression of plasma testosterone.[3]
For bodybuilding clients, Dianabol is therefore most commonly used when the goal is to add size and bodyweight during a dedicated bulking phase rather than to create a dry cutting look.

Stacking Dianabol
Testosterone base: Dianabol is commonly combined with Test E, Test C or Sustanon 250.
Bulking combinations: Deca-Durabolin and Boldenone are also commonly paired with testosterone-based bulking cycles.
After a cycle
PCT After Dianabol
Dianabol can suppress endogenous testosterone production. In a controlled human study, plasma testosterone decreased during methandienone administration.[3]
Current Thai Anabolics protocol: when Dianabol is used without a long-acting injectable, PCT is commonly started around 2–3 days after the final dose. When it is combined with long-acting testosterone, PCT timing follows the injectable ester instead.
