Aromasin 25mg (Exemestane) – 50 Tablets
Aromasin contains Exemestane, a steroidal irreversible aromatase inhibitor used to reduce estrogen production. In bodybuilding it is most relevant during cycles containing aromatizable compounds such as testosterone and, in some PCT protocols, alongside a SERM such as Nolvadex. Each tablet contains 25mg of Exemestane.
Quick reference
Aromasin Dosage for Estrogen Control
Thai Anabolics’ current practical range is 12.5–25mg daily, with adjustment based on estrogen response rather than automatically using a full tablet. In a controlled study in healthy young men, 25mg/day for 10 days reduced estradiol and increased testosterone; increasing the dose to 50mg/day did not produce greater estradiol suppression.[1]
Current TA cycle example
Aromasin During a Steroid Cycle
For estrogenic symptoms during an aromatizing cycle, the current Thai Anabolics example begins with 12.5mg daily for 1 week.
If symptoms settle, the amount can be reduced to 12.5mg every other day. The useful principle is to control excessive estrogen rather than trying to drive estradiol as low as possible.
Current TA PCT example
Aromasin With Nolvadex for PCT
The existing Thai Anabolics PCT reference uses Aromasin 25mg daily for up to 2 weeks while Nolvadex is used for a longer 4-week SERM phase.
This is a practical store protocol rather than a standardized medical PCT guideline. PCT timing should still follow the longest-acting suppressive steroid used in the cycle.
How it works
Aromasin Irreversibly Inactivates Aromatase
Aromatase is the enzyme that converts androgens such as testosterone and androstenedione into estrogens. Exemestane acts as a false substrate for aromatase and binds irreversibly to the enzyme’s active site, inactivating it.[2]
This is the main pharmacologic distinction between Aromasin and reversible non-steroidal aromatase inhibitors such as Anastrozole. Exemestane is often called a steroidal aromatase inhibitor because of its chemical structure; it is not being used here as an anabolic steroid.
Because the enzyme itself is inactivated, the estrogen-suppressing effect can outlast the concentration of Exemestane circulating in the blood. New aromatase must be synthesized before activity fully returns.
Useful male data
What 25mg Did in Men
In healthy young men taking Exemestane for 10 days, 25mg/day reduced plasma estradiol by 38% when measured 24 hours after the final dose and increased testosterone by approximately 60%.[1]
The same study found maximal estradiol suppression of approximately 62% around 12 hours after a 25mg dose. This directly supports Aromasin’s estrogen-lowering activity in men without relying only on female breast-cancer data.
Do not over-suppress
Estrogen Control, Not Zero Estrogen
Estradiol has important physiological roles in men, including effects on sexual function, body composition and bone.[3]
That is why the goal of an AI during a steroid cycle is normally to control excessive estrogen. More Aromasin is not automatically better, and estrogen-sensitive bloodwork is more informative than continually increasing the dose based only on symptoms.
Timing and absorption
Take Aromasin After a Meal
The official Aromasin prescribing information recommends taking the 25mg tablet once daily after a meal. Food meaningfully increases Exemestane exposure: a high-fat breakfast increased AUC by approximately 59% and peak concentration by approximately 39% compared with the fasted state.[2]
This corrects the old product copy that said Aromasin could simply be taken before or after meals with no meaningful difference. For more consistent exposure, taking it after food is the better-supported approach.
AI comparison
Aromasin vs Arimidex
| Feature | Aromasin / Exemestane | Arimidex / Anastrozole |
|---|---|---|
| AI type | Steroidal | Non-steroidal |
| Aromatase binding | Irreversible inactivation | Reversible inhibition |
| TA tablet strength | 25mg | 1mg |
| Tamoxifen interaction | No significant pharmacokinetic interaction demonstrated in clinical studies | Tamoxifen reduces Anastrozole plasma concentrations in official labeling |
Clinical studies combining Exemestane and Tamoxifen found no significant change in the pharmacokinetics of either treatment and no significant loss of Exemestane’s estrogen suppression.[4]
That is a genuine practical distinction from Arimidex 1mg, but it does not mean Aromasin is automatically the better AI for every cycle.
Important correction
Aromasin With Tren or Deca
Aromasin inhibits aromatase and reduces estrogen production. It does not directly lower progesterone or prolactin. If a cycle containing a 19-nor compound also contains aromatizable testosterone, Aromasin may still be relevant for the estrogen component of that cycle, but it should not be described as a direct treatment for progesterone- or prolactin-driven effects.
This distinction matters because breast symptoms, sexual changes or lactation-like symptoms during complex steroid cycles do not all have the same hormonal cause.
