Testosterone Propionate (Test P)
Testosterone Propionate, also known as Test P, is a fast-acting testosterone used for
hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and bodybuilding. Its shorter ester is the main
reason Test P is normally injected more frequently than Testosterone Enanthate or
Testosterone Cypionate.[1][2]

Why the frequent injections?
Test P is a short-acting testosterone ester. In human pharmacokinetic research,
testosterone remained above physiological levels for about 48 hours after an
intramuscular testosterone propionate dose, which helps explain why every-other-day
or daily schedules are common with this ester.[1]

Why Test P Is Injected More Frequently
Testosterone Propionate is one of the shortest-acting injectable testosterone esters.
A pharmacokinetic study in men found that a 25mg intramuscular dose maintained
testosterone above physiological levels for roughly 48 hours.[1]
Earlier human research also found elevated testosterone for about two days after a
50mg propionate dose.[2]
This shorter action is the practical difference between Test P and longer esters such
as Test E and Test C. Clinical reviews describe testosterone propionate as a
short-acting injectable that requires more frequent dosing.[3]
